AET for Chapters
The concept of a "Chapter AET" is probably new to most teachers.  While students have always kept FFA records in some way, there has never been an automatic way for teachers to summarize and analyze those records.

The Chapter AET is a place where teachers can manage their students, organize their program activities, and access a wealth of reports and statistics.  Through the measurement and analysis of students’ data, the AET can help teachers to continuously improve their local programs. Teachers can help school administrators and community leaders become more aware and supportive of local programs.

Beginning in Fall 2008, the Chapter AET is free to any FFA Chapter in the United States.

The Chapter AET is organized into several sections:
  • Profile - The profile is a place where you can update general information about your programs and configure the AET with your preferences.
  • Accounts - The accounts section is where you create and manage your student roster.
  • Tracker - The Chapter Tracker organizes a program's calendar of events.  Each event can be assigned to a Program of Activities committee, and those students can collaborate to plan and document the activity.  A Chapter's travel and expenditures on activities create an economic impact to the local and regional economy.  The Chapter Tracker provides a way to capture and analyze this data.
  • Reports - Most reports in the AET can be customized to analyze one student's data, groups of students, or the entire local program.  When students keep good records throughout the year, the AET will help your program make more informed business decisions.  Knowing that your chapter spends $12,000 on feed annually, for example, might help you recruit community sponsors for activities.  Knowing that pigs don't seem to make money - but goats have a great return on investment - might help you guide students toward more profitable enterprises.
  • Toolbox - The toolbox is the place for a variety of other tools that help you manage your classroom and program.  The Portfolio is a place where you can store files, share files with your students, and access the AET Community.
For more information about features in the Chapter AET, take a look at the "Educational Materials" section or email us at info@theaet.com, and then SIGN UP - it's free!
