AET Home

The mission of AET is to help teachers by providing a student-centered system that tracks student experiences in agricultural education. The vision of AET is to become an educational tool that brings good recordkeeping practices back into the classroom. AET will provide program assessment data to inform stakeholders of the programatic and economic value of agricultural education.
Students
Students are the foundation and source of accurate program information through which performance is summarized and measured at the local, state, and national levels. In many schools, FFA recordkeeping has become an annual, last-minute, advisor-intensive activity performed solely for the purpose of completing FFA award applications. The AET believes recordkeeping should provide continuous feedback that helps students improve the quality of their projects and activities. The AET strives to create an intuitive and welcoming online workspace, where students are enthusiastic about maintaining proper records and collaboratively planning Chapter activities; all with minimal assistance from advisors.
Local Programs
Local Programs are the organizational source for students to become involved. The AET should help teachers to document their involvement and success in the ag education process. Through the measurement and analysis of students’ data, the AET will help teachers to continuously improve their local programs. Using the AET to document and report local program value and performance, teachers can help school administrators and community leaders become more aware and supportive of local programs.
State & Nation
By partnering with university researchers, FFA Associations, education agencies, and The National Council in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data, the AET can help leaders make more informed decisions and identify trends, leading to improvements in the overall quality of Agricultural Education. The AET wants to help government leaders and decision-makers become better informed of the impact of Agricultural Education, both economically and in terms of student involvement in quality FFA programs.
